📋 Description

• Manage an assigned portfolio of Business Banking Small Business clients to grow and retain banking relationships • Proactively contact assigned clients to address service and business-related needs • Promote and cross-market products and services and provide appropriate financial solutions through consultative reviews • Make joint calls with partners to enhance selling skills and uncover consumer opportunities • Engage Business Banking Relationship Managers, Branch Managers, and specialty partners on assigned sales opportunities • Review financial statements, assess credit lines, and renew loans • Identify business lending opportunities and complete associated lending responsibilities • Maintain client retention and mitigate profitable client run-off • Perform operational and administrative tasks while acting as a bank advocate and advisor • Ensure client portfolios comply with bank requirements • Manage unprofitable and anticipated exiting client relationships • Build strategic relationships with Key lines of business to deepen client engagement and retention • Perform other duties as assigned and comply with KeyBank policies and procedures

🎯 Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience (required) • Minimum 1 year of experience in a comparable or skill-transferrable role, demonstrating strong customer service and selling skills • Minimum 1 year of extensive financial services experience in business/commercial banking • Thorough understanding of the regulatory and competitive environment, key industry players, economic drivers, and operating issues • Small Business lending experience • Ability to build trust through a client-centric approach • Expertise within a defined industry or geography and product set • Focus on creating and driving revenue growth and generating results • Understanding of financial, operational, and strategic drivers of client organizations • Experience using structured sales methodologies, principles, and practices • Understanding of Key's risk culture and ability to manage risk/reward trade-offs • Ability to maintain client relationships through regular communication and financial advice • Ability to understand and promote banking products and services • Ability to independently package and present credit deals with thorough analysis and compliance with lending policies • Ability to communicate face to face and by phone with teammates and clients • Frequent use of a PC/laptop • Occasional travel, including overnight stays
