📋 Description

• Conduct individual credit file reviews to assess underwriting and portfolio management quality • Independently validate and adjust risk ratings when necessary • Perform comprehensive credit risk intelligence and select loan samples using risk insights • Identify loans with potential or well-defined weaknesses • Analyze trends affecting loan portfolio quality and identify potential problem areas • Assess adherence to internal credit policies, procedures, laws, and regulations • Lead reviewer teams during CRR examinations • Conduct reviews of credit portfolios and write reports with conclusions and recommendations • Evaluate complex commercial private credit transactions, including underwriting structure, borrower performance, cash flow adequacy, covenant compliance, collateral coverage, and repayment capacity • Evaluate First and Second Line credit risk management activities and independently challenge underwriting decisions, risk ratings, portfolio monitoring, and risk governance • Review portfolio credit performance, concentration risk, industry exposure trends, and emerging credit risk themes • Assess lending alignment with the Bank’s Risk Appetite Statement, credit policies, and regulatory expectations • Evaluate portfolio surveillance, watchlist management, criticized asset identification, stress testing, and early warning indicators • Partner with business leaders, Credit Risk Management, Portfolio Risk teams, and regulators • Present findings and credit risk matters to senior and executive management • Lead or oversee complex reviews and ad-hoc projects • Coach and advise junior team members • Participate in special projects, ongoing credit risk intelligence activities, and training • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement change strategies • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant credit experience • Prior credit risk review experience preferred • Bachelor's Degree preferred • Master's Degree preferred • Credit Risk Certification (CRC) preferred • Moody's Analytics Certificate in Commercial Credit preferred • Advanced knowledge of private credit and direct lending structures, including sponsor-backed financings, unitranche facilities, mezzanine debt, recurring revenue lending, and other complex lending arrangements • Expert credit skills, including independently assigning risk ratings based on Key’s internal policies, risk rating methodologies, and external regulatory guidance • Expert business writing and communication skills • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple assignments, identify obstacles, communicate delays, and delegate work when necessary • Expert leadership skills, including leading complex reviews or ad-hoc projects, managing staff, and delivering performance feedback • Ability to work independently and collaborate as necessary • Ability to perform in a culture of respect, personal accountability, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion • Compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and KeyBank policies and procedures • Occasional travel, including overnight stays
