📋 Description

• Architect, design, develop, and manage highly complex computer systems • Design and oversee the technical aspects of large-scale, complex systems • Design and oversee integration of multiple applications for state agencies • Focus on application data and integration points • Develop the systems vision and guide technical teams toward it • Ensure architecture aligns with agency application needs and Office of Information Technology guidelines • Work at the highest technical level across programming activities for complex application systems • Mentor lead developers technically • Provide architectural design for the State’s complex, strategic, and critical applications • Analyze client-agency business requirements and forecast future service needs • Research technology trends and concepts and provide information to senior management • Develop and maintain architectural designs, including data, integration points, and architectural layers • Develop roadmaps for development teams • Collaborate with Enterprise Architect and Infrastructure Architect on designs and technology direction • Oversee system maintenance and resolve problems to ensure continuous availability • Diagnose complex application software problems and implement effective solutions

🎯 Requirements

• Prior State government experience • Reside within the EST or CST time zones • Must not require C2C • Must not require sponsorship for a work visa • Knowledge of current State Government technology systems, capabilities, and needs • Knowledge of State Government agencies, their missions, services, and strategic plans • Knowledge of industry technology standards and trends • Knowledge of system design techniques • Knowledge of operating systems and related software components • Knowledge of systems development and documentation standards • Knowledge of higher-level programming languages and enterprise-class application development tools • Ability to conduct in-depth research and analysis • Ability to research and evaluate computer software and hardware products • Ability to diagnose and correct system malfunctions • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships • Ability to communicate effectively • Ability to write clearly and effectively • Ability to lead, coordinate, and provide technical support to project teams
