📋 Description

• Lead mechanical design of enclosures, mounts, and ruggedized assemblies for electronic and RF hardware. • Create 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, and tolerance analyses for prototyping and production. • Drive rapid prototyping (3D printing, machining) and design-for-manufacturability efforts. • Perform thermal, structural, and environmental analysis to meet ruggedization and operational requirements. • Collaborate with electrical, RF, and embedded engineers on mechanical integration and packaging. • Select materials and components; manage BOMs and engineering documentation. • Support field testing, hardening, and design iteration based on operational feedback. • Coordinate with technicians and vendors on builds, fabrication, and assembly.

🎯 Requirements

• Eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance – U.S. Citizenship required. • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. • 8+ years of mechanical design experience for electronic or ruggedized hardware products. • Expert proficiency with 3D CAD (e.g., SolidWorks) and GD&T. • Experience with rapid prototyping, machining, and design for manufacturability. • Working knowledge of thermal management and environmental/ruggedization standards (e.g., MIL-STD-810). • Hands-on prototyping and lab validation experience. • Strong cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.
