📋 Description

• Architect and build agentic workflows using n8n, Claude API, Python, and MCP for HR processes • Build multi-agent systems with tool use, function calling, and multi-step reasoning • Connect HRIS, ATS, payroll, and ticketing tools into end-to-end workflows • Implement error handling, audit trails, payroll-calendar awareness, and human-in-the-loop approval checkpoints • Ensure automations comply with employee PII, regulated-data, and cross-jurisdictional privacy requirements • Classify automation builds by risk tier before development • Confirm process ownership, documented data flows, and access controls before production • Maintain audit logging and documentation for systems handling regulated employee data or payroll-adjacent workflows • Halt or redesign builds that create unacceptable payroll, legal, or data privacy risk • Represent HRKX in governance standards and cross-functional build alignment • Produce documentation, workflow templates, and runbooks for HRKX professionals • Train People team members on production AI tools and workflows • Track and report automation impact, including manual hours eliminated, error rates reduced, payroll exceptions avoided, and capacity unlocked • Enable HR professionals to focus on advisory and people-judgment work through process, technology, and AI enablement • Serve as primary architect and builder of AI-powered solutions for the Kraken People team, owning discovery through deployment, governance, and capability transfer

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience • At least 2+ years focused on building AI/ML-powered applications or agentic systems in production • 2–3+ years working on HR, People Operations, or people technology problems • Strong fluency with AI and workflow automation tools • Hands-on experience designing and deploying AI-powered or automated workflows in production • Deep working knowledge of Workday, including job change workflows, worker conversions, EIB data uploads, integration architecture, and payroll dependencies • Experience designing, deploying, and driving adoption of AI solutions within HR workflows • Proficiency with n8n, Python, Claude API/Anthropic SDK, or equivalent • Experience connecting HR systems via API • Strong analytical problem-solving skills • Understanding of employee data classification, PII handling requirements, and cross-jurisdictional HR compliance obligations • Nice-to-have: Workday Prism, Qualtrics, or other BI and HR analytics tools • Nice-to-have: AI for text analysis, survey insights, or workflow automation in HRIS or people analytics • Nice-to-have: Ashby API integration and pipeline automation • Nice-to-have: Google Apps Script or equivalent, Excel, and Google Sheets • Nice-to-have: Python or R for people data analysis, modeling, or pipeline automation • Nice-to-have: HR technology platform administration • Nice-to-have: HR automation or people analytics function experience • Nice-to-have: Quantitative degree combined with applied technical automation experience • Nice-to-have: Fintech, crypto, or high-growth remote-first company experience • Must select a city and country from the application options • Must disclose whether work sponsorship is needed
