• Provide technical support for FAA-supported programs and systems, including FTI, MS, ADS-B, DCNS, WMSS and others • Install, repair, configure, test and perform preventative maintenance on equipment at customer remote locations • Provide scheduled and on-call field support at customer locations within the assigned area • Travel outside the assigned area or region as needed to support FAA customer needs • Read, understand and follow equipment drawings and task orders • Document work performed and events at customer locations • Work with the NOCC, SAC and Helpdesk by phone to resolve field issues • Maintain tools, test equipment, parts, electronics, truck stock inventory and personal or company vehicles • Prepare for assigned tasks before dispatch • Follow L3Harris and program-specific policies and procedures with the supervisor • Respond to after-hours emergency calls and operational needs
• Highly developed job knowledge and skills • High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years of prior relevant experience, or 2 years of post-secondary/Associate’s Degree and 4 years of prior related experience • Obtain and maintain a DOT Public Trust Security Clearance and a DOD Secret Clearance • Ability to obtain and maintain active FAA Security Clearance • Valid Driver’s License and/or local US State REAL ID equivalent with a satisfactory driving record • Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time to remote sites within a 3-hour drive circle of the base location • Willingness to travel outside the assigned region as needed • Ability to work from home in an on-call status • Ability to work outside regularly scheduled hours and respond to after-hours emergency calls • Ability to lift items up to 32 lbs. and use ladders and step stools to reach approximately 10 feet • Ability to read, understand and follow equipment drawings and task orders • Excellent customer service skills • Ability to work in a high-stress and high-visibility environment • Good working knowledge of cable connectors including RJ-11, RJ-45, DB-25, V.35 and RS-449 • Excellent working knowledge of fiber • Working knowledge of multiplexes, network topology, Frame Relay, Fractional T-1, SONET, ATM, private line, voice and data applications • Working knowledge of AC and DC power testing, including 3-phase AC • Familiarity with 24VDC and 48VDC power supplies • Experience with T1, DS3, digital BERT and analog VG network and circuit testing within Bell Core standards • Working knowledge and use of network test equipment such as JDSU HST, Ameritech AM5XT, Sage 935, digital oscilloscope, Halcyon 704A and Para-scope • IP-based knowledge and experience configuring routers and switches • Experience installing equipment racks • Preferred certifications/skills: Network+, CCNA, CCNP, CCNA Wireless and A+
