📋 Description

• Develop, maintain, and enforce enterprise-wide data governance policies, standards, and procedures • Define and document data ownership, stewardship, and accountability structures across business domains • Establish and manage data governance frameworks, councils, and working groups • Ensure data is accurate, consistent, complete, secure, and compliant • Monitor and improve data quality through profiling, validation, and issue remediation • Identify, analyze, and resolve data defects and root causes with data owners and stewards • Support master data management, metadata management, and reference data control initiatives • Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, privacy, and security requirements • Implement and monitor controls for sensitive data handling, retention, classification, change management, and access management • Support internal and external audits, risk assessments, and remediation planning • Partner with legal, compliance, cybersecurity, and IT teams on data-related risks and vulnerabilities • Provide training and support to data owners, stewards, and end users • Maintain documentation of governance frameworks, policies, procedures, and data lineage • Research complex issues, solve problems, and implement solutions • Translate data requirements into governance solutions • Track industry trends, emerging regulations, and data governance best practices • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data owners, IT, legal, compliance, and cybersecurity teams • Travel 10–20% and support onsite implementations or enterprise solution integrations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience in data governance, data management, or related field • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks including GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, SOX, and ITAR • Knowledge of industry standards including DAMA-DMBOK and DCAM • Experience implementing data literacy programs • Experience with data governance certifications or related compliance disciplines, including CDMP, DGSP, and CIPP • Experience with ERPs and enterprise software such as SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle, and CostPoint • Understanding of data architecture, data modeling, systems integration, and data management best practices • Experience with cross-functional teams in an agile environment • Experience with data quality tools, data profiling, and data lineage analysis • Understanding of cloud data platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills • Ability to work with minimal oversight • 10–20% travel required • Ability to support onsite implementation of governance frameworks or enterprise solution integrations • English-language working environment
