📋 Description

• Design and create printed circuit board (PCB) layouts for circuit card assemblies (CCAs) • Place and route components while meeting electrical and physical design specifications • Ensure manufacturing and assembly requirements are met • Develop and generate drawings and documentation for PCB fabrication and assembly • Hold milestone reviews with design engineers and manufacturing process engineers • Rework PCB designs when engineering changes occur • Assist the design team in resolving design issues • Update drawings and documentation based on engineering change requests • Create ECAD library footprints and/or schematic symbols • Release PCB and CCA drawings

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience • Graduate Degree and minimum 4 years of prior related experience • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience • Multiple years of experience in PCB design or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience in PCB design • Competent skills and experience with ECAD software applications and related equipment • Specific experience with Siemens (formerly Mentor Graphics) Xpedition software is desired • Competent experience and knowledge of PCB design technologies, PCB layout techniques, electrical schematics, PCB fabrication and assembly drawings is desired • Practical knowledge of IPC design standards, including design for manufacturability, and ASME/ANSI documentation standards is desired • Knowledge of IPC-2221, IPC-2222, IPC-6012, IPC-A-600, and IPC-A-610 is desired • IT experience with backend management and maintenance of ECAD tools such as Siemens Xpedition and EDM • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology and/or IPC CID certification is desired • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is beneficial
