📋 Description

• Design and create printed circuit board (PCB) layouts for circuit card assemblies based on inputs and feedback from electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing process engineers • Place components within specified size envelopes and route metal traces between components • Hold milestone reviews with stakeholders • Release PCB and CCA drawings • Place and route components while meeting electrical and physical design specifications • Ensure manufacturing and assembly requirements are met • Develop and generate drawings and documentation for PCB fabrication and assembly • Rework PCB designs when engineering design changes occur and assist with issue resolution • Update drawings and documentation based on engineering change requests • Create ECAD library footprints and schematic symbols as required

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience, or graduate degree and minimum 2 years of prior related experience • In lieu of a degree, minimum 8 years of prior related experience • Multiple years of experience in PCB design or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience in PCB design • Competent skills and experience with ECAD software applications and related equipment • Specific experience with Siemens Xpedition software is desired • Knowledge of PCB design technologies, PCB layout techniques, electrical schematics, and PCB fabrication and assembly drawings • Practical knowledge of IPC design standards, including design for manufacturability • Practical knowledge of ASME/ANSI documentation standards • Knowledge of IPC-2221, IPC-2222, IPC-6012, IPC-A-600, and IPC-A-610 • IT experience supporting backend management and maintenance of ECAD tools such as Siemens Xpedition and EDM • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology and/or IPC CID certification is desired • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is beneficial
