📋 Description

• Determine specimen acceptability according to established criteria • Perform routine and complex technical procedures according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures • Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation • Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving • Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls • Report accurate and timely test results to support quality patient care • Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology • 4 years or more of cytogenetics testing experience • Understanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures • Experience working in a high volume laboratory environment • Proficient with computers; familiarity with laboratory information systems • Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test • Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs • Dedicated, non-shared home office space meeting HIPAA compliance • Agree to have home address added to reports of cases analyzed or reported, as required by CMS • Wired or wireless internet with minimum speed of 100 mb/sec • Ability to work remotely effectively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment and juggle competing priorities
