📋 Description

• Transcribe and dictate grossing and microscopic descriptions of surgical pathology cases involving moderately difficult medical terminology • Enter dictated and handwritten pathology cases accurately and promptly into the laboratory information system • Resolve user inquiries or redirect them to appropriate resources • Identify problems and implement appropriate corrective actions and solutions • Research, troubleshoot, and follow up to resolve inquiries and problems • Transcribe medical reports, summaries, office visit notes, and other medical documents from recorded messages • Provide transcribed documents to physicians and providers for review and signature, incorporating corrections • Operate transcription and dictation equipment, speech recognition tools, word processing, and computer software • Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with provider standards and government regulations • Review documents for quality assurance, precision, and errors that could affect patient care or medical liability • Create templates and enter data into electronic health record systems for record keeping and archives

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent • 3 years or more of medical transcriptionist experience • Prior experience with transcriptionist software • Excellent data entry and typing skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • High level of attention to detail • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications • Preferred: 2 years or more of transcriptionist experience in Pathology
