📋 Description

• Determine specimen acceptability for testing according to established criteria • Perform routine and complex technical procedures according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures • Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation • Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving • Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls • Report accurate and timely test results • Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures • Identify and replenish testing bench supplies • Assist with specimen processing when needed • Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology • 4 years or more of clinical laboratory testing experience • ASCP or AMT certification preferred • Non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits meeting CLIA standards may satisfy education requirements • Understanding of laboratory operations, policies, and procedures • Experience in a high-volume laboratory environment • Proficiency with computers and familiarity with laboratory information systems • Ability to work independently and within a team environment • Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills • Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position • Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test • Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts based on business needs • Dedicated, non-shared home office space meeting HIPAA compliance • Agreement to have home address added to reports of analyzed or reported cases, as required by CMS • Wired internet with minimum speed of 100 mb/sec • Ability to work remotely effectively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment
