• Handle on-demand video and audio interpreting sessions between Korean and English speakers • Interpret conversations accurately across healthcare, government, insurance, finance, utilities, travel and hospitality, general business, law enforcement, court, and 911 industries • Process information quickly and concisely while recognizing sensitive cultural differences • Use appropriate terminology and understand common industry procedures and practices • Deliver interpretation services via video and type data on a dedicated device • Render correct concepts and meanings according to established interpretation protocol, avoiding omissions or additions • Speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation, enunciation, and polite expressions • Maintain a professional demeanor throughout interpreting sessions • Remain calm during emotional, sensitive, or emergency calls, including 911 calls • Maintain punctuality and availability during scheduled work hours • Follow client instructions and interpretation protocol • Understand terminology and protocols for medical, insurance, finance, and law industries • Participate in online, video, and audio training sessions • Work from a quiet and secure home-office environment
• Fluency in Korean and English and skilled in the associated cultural dynamics • Ability to provide cultural competency and assess regional and accent differences • Excellent listening, retention and note-taking skills • Ability to remain neutral and objective during sensitive conversations • Education or work experience in language-related fields such as teaching, language assessment, translation or interpretation preferred • Must be able to adapt to LLS technology enhancements • Must be at least 18 years of age • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship • High school diploma or equivalent • Ability to read and write the requested languages highly preferred • Dedicated personal device for business purposes • Desktop/laptop with Windows, MacOS, or ChromeOS; tablets and smartphones with iPadOS, Android, or iOS are acceptable • Restricted brands: Kaspersky products and Huawei hardware • High-speed internet with at least 5 Mbps download, 3 Mbps upload, ping no more than 300 ms, and jitter no more than 30 ms • Quiet space free from background noise or distraction • Ability to operate a keyboard and mouse and remain stationary at a computer and webcam for most of the workday • Must use a headset for prolonged periods • Ability to operate company-provided software and systems • Sufficient manual dexterity to type or write • Able to lift up to 26 lbs. • Post-offer, pre-employment background check and/or drug screen may be required based on location
