📋 Description

• Handle on-demand video and audio interpreting sessions between Turkish and English speakers • Render the meaning of conversations accurately while following established interpretation protocol • Interpret across healthcare, government, insurance, finance, utilities, travel and hospitality, business, law enforcement, court, and 911 settings • Participate in online video and audio training sessions • Deliver interpretation services via video and type data on a dedicated device • Speak clearly in both languages using proper pronunciation, enunciation, and polite expressions • Maintain professionalism, neutrality, objectivity, punctuality, and availability during scheduled work hours • Follow client instructions and protocol while avoiding unauthorized interaction with the limited-English-speaking person • Remain calm during sensitive, emotional, stressful, or emergency calls, including 911 calls • Work from a quiet and secure home-office environment

🎯 Requirements

• Fluency in Turkish and English, including associated cultural dynamics • Ability to provide cultural competency and assess regional and accent differences • Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills • Ability to remain neutral, objective, detached, and focused during sensitive conversations • Ability to adapt to LanguageLine Solutions technology enhancements • Must be at least 18 years of age • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Must not require current or future visa sponsorship for US employment • High school diploma or equivalent • Ability to read and write the requested languages highly preferred • Dedicated personal device for business purposes • Desktop/laptop with Windows, MacOS, or ChromeOS; or compatible tablet or smartphone • Kaspersky products and Huawei hardware are restricted • High-speed internet with at least 5 Mbps download, 3 Mbps upload, ping no more than 300 ms, and jitter no more than 30 ms • Access to a quiet space free from background noise or distraction • Ability to operate a keyboard and mouse and remain stationary before a computer and webcam for most of the workday • Ability to use a headset for prolonged periods • Ability to operate company-provided software and systems • Sufficient manual dexterity to type or write • Ability to lift up to 26 lbs. • May be required to complete a post-offer, pre-employment background check and/or drug screen depending on location
