📋 Description

• Handle on-demand video and audio interpreting sessions between Turkish and English speakers • Render the meaning of conversations accurately according to established interpretation protocols • Serve clients across healthcare, government, insurance, finance, utilities, travel and hospitality, general business, law enforcement, courts, and 911 • Process information quickly and concisely while recognizing sensitive cultural differences • Use appropriate terminology and understand common industry procedures and practices • Deliver interpretation services via video and type data on a dedicated device • Speak clearly in both languages using proper pronunciation, enunciation, and polite expressions • Maintain a professional demeanor during interpreting sessions • Remain calm during emotional, stressful, or emergency calls, including 911 calls • Maintain punctuality and availability during scheduled work hours • Follow client instructions and interpretation protocols • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity in a diverse environment • Participate in online, video, and audio training sessions

🎯 Requirements

• Fluency in Turkish and English and skilled in the associated cultural dynamics • Ability to provide cultural competency and assess regional and accent differences • Excellent listening, retention and note-taking skills • Ability to concentrate, remain neutral and objective, and handle sensitive subjects • Education or work experience in language-related fields such as teaching, language assessment, translation or interpretation preferred • Must be able to adapt to LLS technology enhancements • Must be at least 18 years of age • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Must have US work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship • High school diploma or equivalent • Ability to read and write the requested languages highly preferred • Dedicated personal device for business purposes: Windows, MacOS, ChromeOS, iPadOS, Android, iOS, or Android • High-speed internet with at least 5 Mbps download, 3 Mbps upload, ping no more than 300 ms, and jitter no more than 30 ms • Must have access to a quiet space free from background noise or distraction • Must be able to operate a keyboard and mouse and remain stationary in front of a computer and webcam for most of the workday • Must use a headset for prolonged periods • Must be able to operate company-provided software and systems • Must have sufficient manual dexterity to type or write • Able to lift up to 26 lbs. • May be required to complete a post-offer, pre-employment background check and/or drug screen based on location
