LeagueApps is a cloud-based youth sports management platform that helps clubs, camps, leagues, tournaments, and facilities operate and grow. It provides SaaS tools for registration, payments, communications, scheduling, reporting, facilities management, and integrations, plus custom youth-sports websites and mobile apps for admins, coaches, parents, and players. LeagueApps also offers onboarding, same-day support, growth consultations, an API, analytics and reporting, and runs community and impact programs (NextUp, FundPlay, PLAYS) to support the youth sports industry and increase accessibility.

📋 Description

• Own full-cycle accounts payable, including vendor onboarding, invoice coding, payment runs, and vendor relationship management • Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, cash application, collections follow-up, and aging analysis • Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for cash, prepaids, accruals, and merchant/payment processor accounts • Prepare and post journal entries for monthly and quarterly close • Maintain the general ledger and supporting schedules, ensuring accurate, documented, GAAP-compliant entries • Partner with the Controller on close timelines, flux analysis, and audit or review requests • Identify and improve manual processes, including automation and AI opportunities in accounting workflows • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, and Operations to resolve billing and payment questions

🎯 Requirements

• 3 to 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including a high-volume transactional environment • Strong working understanding of GAAP and ability to apply it to real transactions • Exceptional attention to detail • Ability to explain accounting issues clearly to non-finance colleagues • Hands-on experience across AP, AR, reconciliations, and journal entries • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment • Preference for Eastern Time Zone candidates; strong candidates across all backgrounds welcomed • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Must be located in Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Washington DC, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, or Washington • Experience using AI or automation tools to improve accounting processes • SaaS or subscription-based business experience, including deferred revenue and payment processor reconciliations • Familiarity with NetSuite, Ramp, and Stripe Billing • CPA preferred; actively pursuing CPA certification encouraged
