📋 Description

• Own the product direction and delivery of Leap’s data platform and integrations • Structure and manage the Data Engineering intake process • Understand requests, clarify underlying needs, and prioritize work across teams • Maintain a prioritized backlog and roadmap balancing client launches, business needs, platform improvements, and reliability • Resolve conflicting requests and communicate committed and deferred work • Translate prioritized needs into problem statements, requirements, dependencies, and acceptance criteria • Break projects into milestones, establish timelines, coordinate dependencies, and track delivery • Surface risks early and manage scope or timing changes • Validate completed work against acceptance criteria and business needs • Define requirements for a reusable ingestion engine, data provenance, data quality, monitoring, alerting, and escalation • Document sources, data contracts, ownership, and platform decisions • Partner with Analytics on metric lineage and Security on access controls, PHI handling, retention, and third-party data use • Scope eligibility, claims, clinical, drug pricing, and operational data integrations • Partner with Implementation to improve client onboarding • Scope APIs, data exchanges, and workflow integrations with clients and partners • Coordinate requirements, dependencies, testing, and launches with external technical teams • Validate integrations end to end • Collaborate with Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, Analytics, Implementation, Client Success, and external partners

🎯 Requirements

• Experience owning technical products or programs involving data platforms, infrastructure, or integrations • Experience managing intake and prioritization across multiple teams with competing needs • Track record of taking ambiguous needs through scoping, prioritization, and delivery • Strong SQL skills • Fluency in Python, orchestration tools, and transformation frameworks sufficient to investigate issues and challenge technical assumptions • Experience with BigQuery or Snowflake • Experience with Fivetran • Experience with Airflow and dbt • Experience delivering external file-based or API integrations with incomplete documentation, inconsistent data, and changing requirements • Ability to reason about system architecture and explain effects on delivery, reliability, cost, and future capabilities • Clear technical writing and documentation skills • Practical experience using AI tools for analysis, technical investigation, documentation, or delivery • Sound judgment validating AI outputs and handling sensitive data • Preferred: healthcare eligibility, medical or pharmacy claims, clinical data, or drug pricing experience • Preferred: familiarity with X12, NCPDP, or HL7/FHIR • Preferred: experience with PHI in a HIPAA-regulated environment • Preferred: background in data, analytics, implementation, or software engineering • Preferred: experience building reusable integration capabilities or embedding products into partner workflows • Preferred: experience establishing product and delivery practices at an early-stage company • United States work authorization is addressed in the application form • Visa sponsorship requirements are addressed in the application form
