📋 Description

• Design overhead and underground transmission systems for developer and utility clients • Model and analyze transmission structures using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-TOWER • Apply NESC, ASCE, ACI, IEEE, and related standards • Support projects from conceptual routing and engineering analysis through procurement, construction-ready packages, as-builts, and close-out • Collaborate with designers, engineers, and project management teams • Participate in client-facing project work • Perform structure spotting and transmission line design in PLS-CADD • Design and analyze steel, wood, concrete, and fiberglass transmission structures using PLS-POLE • Perform underbuild, joint-use, and attachment analysis • Perform foundation design or analysis in MFAD or LPILE • Prepare construction packages, including basis of design, plan and profiles, staking sheets, bills of materials, structure data sheets, alignment maps, stringing charts, steel packages, and foundation drawings • Coordinate with the Construction prime on material procurement, specifications, and constructability • Perform conductor selection and EMF studies • Attend field walks and constructability reviews as needed • Support proposal and estimating efforts

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering • 2+ years of relevant experience in electric utility transmission line design • Proficiency in both PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently while staying plugged into a team • Candidates must be located in the United States • Preferred: Experience with TOWER • Preferred: EIT certification or actively pursuing • Preferred: Exposure to FAD, Mathcad, AutoCAD or MicroStation, LPILE, or GIS tools • Preferred: Familiarity with Bentley ProjectWise
