📋 Description

• Act as a first responder for enterprise security alerts, triaging severity, scope, and response path • Investigate confirmed incidents to root cause using host, network, identity, and cloud log analysis • Produce incident documentation covering timelines, indicators, actions, and findings • Execute containment and eradication steps and contribute to post-incident reviews • Participate in the security on-call rotation • Write, tune, and maintain SIEM queries and correlation rules • Validate raw log parsing, identify coverage gaps, and tune alerts • Support onboarding of new log sources and contribute MITRE ATT&CK-mapped detection content • Operate vulnerability scanning, prioritize findings, coordinate remediation, track closure, and report vulnerability posture • Administer and tune EDR policies, exclusions, agent health, detection rules, and endpoint investigations • Apply AWS cloud security practices and configure CloudTrail, CloudWatch, GuardDuty, Security Hub, and Config • Review AWS configurations against baselines and CIS Benchmarks and track remediation • Support secure AWS workload design with Engineering and DevSecOps • Apply IAM best practices and support SSO, MFA, conditional access, access reviews, and certification campaigns • Support risk assessments, risk register maintenance, third-party assessments, customer security questionnaires, and audit evidence for ISO 27001, SOC 2, and CIS Controls • Collaborate with cybersecurity, DevSecOps, IT, Engineering, Operations, and business stakeholders • Contribute to security awareness content and provide practical guidance

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent practical experience will be considered • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in security operations, security analyst, or cybersecurity specialist roles • Experience with incident response, alert triage, root-cause investigation, and written documentation • Hands-on SIEM experience writing and tuning queries and working with log data; Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, Elastic, or equivalent • Practical vulnerability management experience, including risk-based prioritization and remediation coordination • Working experience with EDR platforms, custom rule creation, and endpoint telemetry analysis • Strong working knowledge of AWS services and cloud security, including IAM, logging, monitoring, and posture management • Understanding of IAM, SSO, MFA, and least-privilege access models • Experience performing or materially contributing to security risk assessments • Clear technical writing for incident documentation, risk findings, and remediation guidance • Strong working knowledge of Windows and Linux security controls • Scripting and query ability using Python, PowerShell, KQL, or SPL • Familiarity with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and CIS Controls • Preferred certifications include AWS Certified Security – Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, GIAC, CompTIA CySA+ or Security+, or Microsoft SC-200 • Preferred experience in energy, utilities, industrial, OT/ICS, battery storage, renewable energy, grid infrastructure, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, detection engineering, security automation, or infrastructure-as-code
