📋 Description

• Lead all actions and tasks related to functional safety projects • Apply functional safety and regulatory standards during product development • Develop system-level hazard analysis and HARA activities • Determine safety functions and write system concept designs defining safe states • Ensure engineering teams provide data and parameters required to evaluate performance levels • Translate system safety requirements into safety design architecture and functional safety requirements • Communicate gaps between achieved and required PL/SIL values and determine design improvements • Support system and subsystem design teams with FMEA and Fault Tree Analysis • Maintain documented roles and responsibilities for functional safety representatives • Establish verification, validation, and certification strategies • Ensure functional safety projects are delivered on time and with quality • Support internal and external auditors during compliance reviews

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor/Master of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or similar fields • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience on functional safety projects for off-road machines • Working knowledge of IEC 61508, ISO 13849, and ISO 19014 • Experience defending system-level safety analyses, including FMEA and FTA • Excellent written and verbal communication and people engagement skills • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver license and passport • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
