📋 Description

• Own journal entry preparation and the month-end close process for approximately two assigned hospital facilities • Partner with Site Liaisons and facility finance teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting • Prepare, review, and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, amortizations, and recurring monthly entries • Support a fast-paced month-end close environment and meet established close timelines • Perform balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and variance research • Analyze financial activity and investigate discrepancies using Oracle reporting tools and other financial systems • Collaborate with accounting leadership, technical accounting, and operational finance teams to resolve accounting questions • Use Excel extensively to support accounting processes and reporting • Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and continuous process improvement • Provide team support and knowledge sharing

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting • Experience preparing and posting journal entries in a month-end close environment • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, accruals, prepaid expenses, amortization schedules, and account reconciliations • Experience managing multiple priorities and meeting strict monthly close deadlines • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial data analysis • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
