📋 Description

• Serve as Senior Accountant supporting the Health System Finance Director • Maintain accurate general ledger activity associated with grants • Prepare grant-related reporting, reconciliations, financial schedules, invoices, and drawdowns • Ensure compliance with grant terms and conditions, Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200), sponsor regulations, and internal policies • Manage assigned grants and financial responsibilities in support of team goals and sponsor requirements • Administer, direct, and allocate organizational resources related to grant funding • Identify and address problems, escalating compliance, reporting, or financial risks to leadership • Recommend and implement approved process improvements through completion • Lead assigned initiatives and projects with little or no direction • Prepare and process journal entries related to grant expenditures, reallocations, and accruals • Assist with month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting deadlines • Manage the full lifecycle of assigned grants, including award and budget setup, financial monitoring, reporting, and closeout • Reconcile grant records to the general ledger and support audits and monitoring engagements

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university • 3 or more years of general accounting experience • Knowledge of financial reporting and general ledger management • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) • Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls • Strong analytical skills to examine financial data and identify discrepancies • Must perform the professional, clinical, and/or technical competencies of the assigned department • Preferred: 5 or more years of experience in a healthcare, governmental, or nonprofit environment • Preferred: 3 or more years of experience with SharePoint workflow optimization • Preferred: Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
