• Coordinate with estimating team for proposal stage evaluations and prepare associated proposal drawings and scopes of work. • Develop and maintain technical documentation associated with electrical projects ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. • Prepare associated drawing and specifications. • Coordinate with external stakeholders such as customers, vendors, AHJs, and others to ensure proper scope of work. • Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as estimators, project managers, and procurement to ensure scope of work is understood and is support of construction requirements. • Responsible for designing electrical systems and performing calculations. • Review, signing and sealing of projects. • Participate in reviews of other engineer’s work in the division. • Some travel is required to meet with vendors, customers, and review project sites. • Manage risk by identifying potential issues early on and developing mitigation strategies. • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards throughout the construction process. • Additional job duties/responsibilities as assigned by management.
• Electrical Engineering degree required. • Valid Professional Engineering license within one year. • 4+ years electrical engineering experience in construction industry. • Proficient in AutoCAD. • Demonstrated ability to implement projects effectively while managing time constraints and resource allocation. • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Analyze system requirements to ensure compliance with national and local codes, such as NEC, NFPA, and IEEE standards. • Experience with UL 891 Switchboards and UL 1008 Transfer Switches. • Design and modeling lighting photometrics. • Experience coordinating with utility requirements. • Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations is required. • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.
