⢠Acquire insurance benefit coverage via phone or online portal ⢠Interpret benefit coverage information to determine anticipated client costs ⢠Evaluate the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of insurance benefit information ⢠Assess case viability based on reimbursement, payor requirements, funding criteria, and reimbursement likelihood ⢠Determine device trial funding options based on patient insurance coverage ⢠Identify and resolve potential coordination of benefits issues ⢠Review benefits for accuracy prior to sale ⢠Communicate funding determinations, barriers, and next steps to internal teams, patients, and care partners ⢠Maintain accurate and compliant documentation and patient records according to HIPAA and Medicare guidelines ⢠Communicate potential issues and concerns to team members ⢠Track and trend issues to support resolution and prevention of repeat problems ⢠Complete data entry and administrative functions associated with sales activities ⢠Identify and escalate priority issues and follow up on tasks ⢠Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
⢠High School Diploma or GED, required ⢠3 years of healthcare, insurance, DME, medical billing, benefits verification, or related experience, required ⢠Experience with Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial insurance, required ⢠Knowledge of insurance plans, funding sources, and DME reimbursement processes ⢠Strong data entry, documentation, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills ⢠Ability to gather information, conduct research, and resolve issues effectively ⢠Effective verbal and written communication skills ⢠Compassion for individuals with disabilities, including clients with speech impairments ⢠Ability to build rapport and maintain professionalism with clients, caregivers, providers, and internal stakeholders ⢠Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, risk assessment, and decision-making skills ⢠Ability to exercise independent judgment and escalate complex or high-risk situations ⢠Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, process-driven environment ⢠Ability to adapt to changing priorities, processes, and business needs ⢠Accountability, follow-through, initiative, and ownership of assigned work ⢠Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred ⢠Experience in customer service and/or administrative support, preferred ⢠Experience with Microsoft Office, TrueSight, Inovalon, or HubSpot, preferred ⢠Reliable and secure internet access for remote work ⢠Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
