📋 Description

• Own experimentation by designing A/B tests with sample size calculations, power analysis, and significance testing • Run experiments, interpret results, and flag misleading findings • Build and maintain cohort analyses, retention curves, and conversion funnels • Identify factors separating retained users from churned users • Analyze correlation versus causation in product usage and conversion • Define and track a metrics framework, distinguishing meaningful signals from vanity metrics • Present insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive action • Use AI tools for query generation, data wrangling, and visualization • Work closely with the C-suite and product leadership on retention, engagement, conversion, and experimentation decisions

🎯 Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in product analytics, data analysis, or a quantitative role at a tech company; startup experience strongly preferred • Strong statistical foundations: hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, Bayesian reasoning, power analysis, and regression, with practical application • Demonstrated ability to design and analyze A/B tests and other controlled experiments • Sharp product intuition • Excellent written and verbal communication • Fluent in SQL; experience with HogQL and analytical SQL dialects important • Python proficiency with pandas, scipy, and statsmodels • Experience with PostHog or similar product analytics platforms such as Amplitude or Mixpanel • Experience at an early-stage startup where analytics were built from scratch • Ability to overlap with US PST hours • A Master's degree is not required
