📋 Description

• Coordinate release and entry processing • Ensure accurate and timely processing of shipments • Create customs entries through proper selection of client and client records and interpretation of shipment documentation • Enter shipment information for release, rating and billing, ensuring all mandatory fields are complete and accurate • Ensure correct value for duty is reported based on invoice details and terms of sale • Establish correct value for duty and tariff treatment by selecting the correct keyword/HS code • Work with team members to obtain missing documentation, information or instructions needed to release shipments • Verify documentation for release conditions, compliance and rating compliance, including free trade certificates • Escalate two-step release requirements, authorization or release issues to appropriate team members • Participate in day-to-day Release Operations in NSCs • Use available system automation tools to support release processing • Open file/data input for new shipments in relevant systems • Coordinate and prepare entry summaries as needed • Monitor Customs and PGA release status at time of release • Follow SOPs, business rules and special client instructions, notes and alerts; identify outdated or ineffective procedures and recommend changes • Maintain effective relationships with clients, carriers, forwarders and Customs • Perform other related duties assigned by management • Adhere to established policies and procedures

🎯 Requirements

• At least 2 years of customs brokerage experience • 2 years of related experience • High School/GED or equivalent • Familiarity with applicable Customs laws, regulations, procedures and industry practices • Client service orientation • Organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines • Assertiveness in problem solving • Excellent communication skills • Ability to multitask • Detail oriented • Excellent time management skills • Ability to present a professional image • Knowledge of Word and Excel software • Flexibility to work a rotating schedule • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM CST one week and Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST the following week
