📋 Description

• Develop data privacy and compliance strategies and initiatives with LSAC’s Office of General Counsel and Senior Counsel – Privacy and Compliance • Lead privacy initiatives and projects across cross-functional teams including Privacy, business unit, and technical/IT resources • Guide and maintain the LSAC Privacy Roadmap and its supporting work program • Guide and support privacy management platform implementation • Own the Data Subject Access Rights (DSAR) process and ensure accurate, timely fulfillment of requests • Contribute to Data Governance data protection policies, procedures, and data handling practices • Oversee development and maintenance of the data inventory • Develop and maintain LSAC’s Record of Processing Activities (ROPA) • Conduct company-wide privacy training campaigns • Own back-end IT records management and retention processes • Identify, assess, and mitigate data protection risks across LSAC’s data estate • Promote and deliver privacy tooling with analysts, software developers, engineering leads, product managers, and business stakeholders • Prepare and present data privacy program and project status to senior management • Manage staff and the Privacy & Compliance function

🎯 Requirements

• B.A. or B.S. degree and 5+ years related experience • Minimum 3 years’ experience with records management as it pertains to retention and compliance requirements • Exposure to an implemented and operational data classification policy in support of tailored data protection measures • Experience with relational and unstructured data databases such as Oracle, CosmoDB, Azure SQL and document file systems • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Strong analytical, problem solving, decision-making, project management, time management, prioritization, organization, and attention-to-detail skills • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive organizational change • Experience leading teams in an agile environment • IAPP certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, or CIPT strongly preferred • Experience with modern privacy platform implementation and operation, such as OneTrust and/or Microsoft data management and privacy offerings, strongly preferred • Experience with MS Azure, including DevOps and Cloud Services, strongly preferred • Experience with relational database administration and concepts, including Oracle/OCI, SQL Server, and Azure SQL, strongly preferred • Experience with contemporary Microsoft Azure data platform components, strongly preferred • Experience managing staff, a Privacy & Compliance function, and cybersecurity best practices for data protection and compliance, strongly preferred • Knowledge of inclusive design principles and digital accessibility standards • Must be able to work LSAC standard business hours, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:45 p.m. ET
