📋 Description

• Support implementation of LSAC's strategic priorities in partnership with the leadership team • Advise the President on alignment, shaping, and prioritization of strategic initiatives • Facilitate strategic planning, roadmap updates, and adjustments • Advise the President and Board of Trustees on strategic opportunities, risks, risk management, and developments in legal education and assessments • Translate organizational vision into measurable strategic objectives and initiatives • Collaborate with senior leaders to define priorities, track progress, and adjust prioritization • Lead and grow a high-performing multidisciplinary team • Develop and manage departmental budgets • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, products, services, and business models • Drive mission-based growth initiatives supporting legal education • Assess strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and collaborative opportunities; conduct due diligence with Legal and Finance • Support collaborative work in the legal education, higher education, and prelaw community • Monitor industry trends, emerging legislation, competitive activities, and market needs • Conduct market analysis and provide strategic recommendations • Develop frameworks to anticipate disruptions and capitalize on emerging opportunities • Integrate legal education research findings and trends into strategic priorities • Lead enterprise-wide transformation and change initiatives through project management • Facilitate strategic projects improving organizational effectiveness and stakeholder value • Align strategic priorities with operational execution • Establish and monitor performance metrics tied to strategic objectives • Track progress against strategic plans and communicate results internally and externally • Recommend adjustments based on performance and market conditions • Prepare strategic presentations and recommendations for executive leadership and the Board of Trustees • Influence decision-making through data-driven insights and business analysis • Serve as trusted advisor to the CEO and leadership team • Represent LSAC and its work to external audiences as appropriate • Complete projects assigned by the President • Oversee the Business Intelligence and Initiatives, Applied Research, Legal Education Strategy, and Project Management teams

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required • J.D. degree strongly preferred • Minimum eight (8) years of experience in strategy, consulting, higher education, operations, or other related industries • Minimum of three (3) years managing people and leading teams • Experience leading enterprise-wide strategic initiatives • Experience working directly with executive leadership, external boards, and external stakeholders • Demonstrated success developing, communicating and executing growth strategies • Familiarity with the goals, operations, and legal needs of academic institutions, particularly law schools, or not-for-profit, membership organizations required • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills • Strategic thinking with the ability to execute vision into meaningful work with measurable results • Financial and business acumen • Ability to exercise confidentiality and sound independent judgment • Ability to relate to law school volunteers, legal educators, associations, and staff effectively • Willingness and aptitude to learn accessibility best practices and standards • Ability to work necessary hours to satisfactorily complete assignments • Up to 25% travel required
