📋 Description

• Build and lead the intellectual property function • Shape and execute Lyten’s patent strategy across breakthrough technologies • Draft and prosecute patent applications • Manage the global IP portfolio • Serve as an embedded partner to product and engineering teams • Drive invention disclosure processes • Oversee freedom-to-operate and infringement analyses • Lead IP diligence for acquisitions and asset purchases • Manage outside counsel • Negotiate complex IP provisions in commercial agreements • Advise on trademark, trade secret, and IP aspects of agreements.

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. and active U.S. law license • USPTO registration • At least 7 years of IP experience • Strong record of patent drafting and prosecution in technology, materials, or hardware sectors • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline • Advanced degrees and experience in battery, energy storage, or advanced materials considered a plus • U.S. citizenship is required due to export control regulations.
