• Provide clinical customer service, utilization management support, and operational guidance to members, families, providers, and internal teams • Complete authorization requests and conduct clinical telephonic screenings • Support member crisis calls • Facilitate referrals to behavioral health, EAP, and community resources • Promote care transitions and discharge planning • Address routine inquiries and maintain thorough documentation • Apply behavioral-health expertise in assessment, crisis intervention, motivational interviewing, utilization review, and care recommendations • Coordinate care with members, families, providers, and physician consultants • Facilitate access to services and educate members on benefits and resources • Ensure appropriate treatment and authorization outcomes • Collaborate across clinical and customer service teams • Participate in professional development, meetings, and special projects • Assist teammates in routine and urgent situations • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with policies, regulations, accreditation standards, and contractual guidelines • Conduct follow-up outreach with members and providers • Maintain professional competency through continuing education and required licensure/certification renewal • Work overnight Wednesday–Saturday schedules supporting a 24/7/365 call center, with possible holiday work
• Current, unrestricted independent license issued by a U.S. state or territory as a Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, Professional Counselor, Clinical Psychologist, or Registered Nurse • Minimum of two years of direct clinical care experience with patients in facility-based and/or outpatient psychiatric or chemical dependency treatment • Proven written and verbal communication skills • Organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment • Strong clinical skills • Strong computer and keyboarding skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Word • Ability to document while simultaneously taking information over the phone • Ability to pass required background checks and a 10-Panel Drug Screen, including marijuana • Ability to undergo a Public Trust background investigation and receive favorable adjudication • U.S. citizenship for at least five years • Current state license or certification to practice as a mental health practitioner in the state(s) where practice takes place, or appropriate recognized national certification if unavailable • Authority to practice independently without state-mandated clinical supervision • Ability to work efficiently in a remote environment • High-speed internet with minimum 20 Mbps download, 5 Mbps upload, and maximum 100 ms latency • Hardwired internet connection • Quiet fixed workspace at home with minimal background noise • Ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive typing and computer work
