📋 Description

• Review and complete initial and concurrent authorization requests • Provide behavioral health clinical care coordination • Handle incoming telephonic contact from the provider network • Make medical necessity determinations using clinical judgment, medical necessity criteria, and evidence-based practices • Conduct comprehensive behavioral health utilization reviews and determine appropriate levels of care • Collaborate with members, families, providers, and clients to coordinate care • Facilitate access to behavioral health services • Support discharge planning and promote successful treatment outcomes • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with regulatory and accreditation standards • Use clinical systems effectively and follow organizational policies and procedures

🎯 Requirements

• Current, unrestricted license issued by a state or territory of the United States to practice independently as a clinical social worker, marriage and family therapist, professional counselor, clinical psychologist, or registered nurse, in the state where the business operation is located and/or other states as required • Minimum of two years of direct clinical care experience with patients in facility-based and/or outpatient psychiatric or chemical dependency treatment • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills • Strong computer and keyboarding skills, including documenting while simultaneously taking information over the phone • Ability to comprehend medical policy and criteria and clearly articulate health information • Ability to pass an extensive background check upon hire and throughout employment, including criminal, employment, education, sanctions, watchlist, sex offender registry, and 10-panel drug screening • High-speed cable or fiber-optic internet installed before starting, with minimum download speed of 20 Mbps, upload speed of 5 Mbps, and maximum latency of 100 milliseconds • Ability to work from a fixed, designated workspace at home with minimal background noise • Hardwired internet connection and ability to use company-issued wired headsets and desktop equipment • Ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive typing and computer work
