📋 Description

• Work with project design leads for AV and lighting to develop comprehensive control systems • Participate in and lead control design projects • Create drawings, schedules, and specification packages • Communicate with design leads and understand project objectives • Work with design staff to develop project deliverables • Assist with on-site installation supervision, integration, and programming • Install control equipment using ladders and lifts as required • Coordinate with lighting and AV design leads and the internal design team • Produce milestone deliverables and support other designers • Research equipment and communicate with manufacturers • Produce control one-line diagrams, schedules, reports, and specification packages • Attend project meetings and provide agendas and notes as needed • Perform QA/QC on client deliverables • Travel to project sites and client meetings • Continue professional development and education for emerging technologies • Perform other related duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Theater, Film/TV, Theme Park, and/or Museum Design and Specification Experience • Expert in 3D drafting in either Vectorworks or AutoCAD • Working knowledge of theatrical control design • Working knowledge of architectural and facility requirements and integration of control equipment • Understanding of the creative process • Ability to read architectural blueprints and interpret electrical drawings • 3+ years experience in control and show design • Ability to deliver on a project's established scope, schedule, and budget • Strong understanding of current technology and industry standards for control design • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays • Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or G Suite • Fluent in English (written and spoken) • Valid passport with no travel restrictions, or ability to obtain one within 6 weeks after employment • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign) desired • Experience with Lightwright desired • Ability to work closely with relevant staff during installation, content integration, and programming • Travel estimated at 50%
