📋 Description

• Demonstrate the organization’s mission, vision, and values. • Competently care for all assigned patients. • Complete screening assessments of physician-assigned cases to determine medical necessity and status-determination needs. • Reassess, monitor, and modify transition needs as appropriate. • Conduct concurrent medical record reviews using established medical-necessity criteria to determine the correct level of care. • Educate healthcare team members regarding regulatory-standard requirements. • Promote effective and efficient utilization of clinical resources from start of care through completion. • Serve as a patient advocate. • Assist in creating Letters of Medical Necessity and appeal letters for physicians. • Participate in quality-assurance activities and audits. • Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, hospitals, patients, and ancillary medical professionals. • Maintain accurate records and prepare related reports and correspondence.

🎯 Requirements

• Must hold an unexpired Registered Nurse license, in good standing. • Prefer two to five years of experience with a record of achievement. • Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction. • Basic level skill in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent required; nursing degree preferred. • State Board of Nursing License required. • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently. • Must have scheduling flexibility and be able to work overtime. • Careful attention to detail. • Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare reports and correspondence. • Ability to organize and coordinate the work of others. • Excellent verbal, written, communication, group presentation, and analytical skills. • Ability to become and remain proficient in all programs necessary for execution. • Ability to comply with legal, ethical, and organizational policies and procedures. • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
