📋 Description

• Provide coverage in short-term, surge and on-demand situations arising from military needs • Provide personal financial counseling and management services to military service members and their families • Deliver one-on-one counseling and consultations with commanders, providers and staff • Conduct briefings, presentations, classes and workshops on personal financial management • Provide referral resources outside counseling sessions • Work with installation and military branch Points of Contact to ensure the program meets installation needs • Assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences • Develop and distribute informational financial materials • Respond to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars • Provide authorized virtual counseling through web-based, secure chat, video communications or secure video teleconference • Manage duty-to-warn situations according to Department of Defense protocol • Communicate with leadership and participate in individual and group supervision • Share trends and issues affecting assigned installations • Participate in training, quality improvement committees and other contract activities • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required • Associate degree plus 4 years' experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor's degree • High school diploma plus 6 years' experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor's degree • Must be a U.S. citizen • Must speak fluent English • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish if required by the contract • Able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation • Able to pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest process • Must have one of: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) • Must have over a thousand hours of financial counseling experience • Skills to effectively utilize virtual counseling and electronic communication modes • Must comply with applicable legal, regulatory, contractual and internal policy requirements • Valid in-state driver's license
