• Exceed sales quota within an assigned territory by driving market acceptance and adoption of Acumed products • Convert key surgeons to Acumed products using technical and surgical knowledge • Develop customer relationships, listen to customer needs, and provide product solutions and services • Provide technical advice to customers to maximize surgeon satisfaction and patient outcomes • Assess the customer base to identify new business opportunities and develop targeted sales strategies • Develop and implement business plans to identify and close new business • Identify prospect needs and deliver appropriate responses in writing, by telephone, and face-to-face • Perform field sales calls for assigned accounts and territory, including on-call and operating room consultation • Provide post-sale follow-up, including delivery-date communication and management, in-service training, and product replenishment coordination • Communicate product updates, portfolio changes, and medical educational programs to current and prospective accounts • Cross-sell additional products and introduce new products • Resolve customer issues and drive customer satisfaction • Maintain customer records using the company CRM tool • Maintain compliance with the AdvaMed code of conduct and protect confidential information and organizational assets • Coach, train, or mentor Associate Sales Representatives as needed • Maintain current sales-skills and product knowledge training • Monitor medical device industry, customer, and competitive trends • Participate in tradeshows, sales meetings, promotional activities, and professional association meetings as needed, including outside regular business hours
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (business or medical discipline preferred) or equivalent experience • 7+ years of demonstrated successful sales experience, preferably in the medical device industry • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills • Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and other surgical personnel • Experience building and maintaining relationships with surgeons and hospitals in respective areas • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services, including marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems • Comfortable in emergency and operating room environments • Ability to gain necessary credentialing for hospital access • Required to obtain hospital-required credentials for frequent surgery visits and observations • Must comply with applicable laws, regulations, accreditation and licensure requirements, and company policies and procedures
