• Provide behavioral healthcare, counseling, case management, and clinical support services for Special Operations Forces personnel and their families • Support the psychological, social, and operational readiness of Service Members • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams, medical personnel, legal authorities, commanders, schools, and other stakeholders • Supervise a team of employees and cultivate a high-performance team • Ensure adequate staff coverage for the assigned program area • Serve as subject matter expert for an identified program knowledge area • Ensure the team meets contract requirements, individual SLAs, and related requirements • Identify opportunities for improvement and efficiencies with contract management and shared services • Attend client, stakeholder, professional staff, quality improvement, and commander’s staff meetings • Conduct approved applied research and clinical investigations • Apply interviewing, behavioral assessment, and evidence-based therapies in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating psychological and neuropsychological disorders • Provide individual, family, group, and couples therapy, and alcohol and drug treatment evaluations • Consult with medical personnel, legal authorities, military commanders, and school districts • Participate in military-specific training and activities, including pre- and post-deployment screening, PTSD, and combat stress activities • Contact referred clients to assess treatment adherence • Use validated symptom inventories to assess symptom severity • Assess barriers to treatment adherence and help clients problem-solve solutions • Educate clients about their mental health condition and treatment regimen • Maintain client information in a client registry • Staff difficult cases with referring providers and behavioral health or psychiatry consultants • Perform case management functions • Provide clinical supervision of unlicensed providers or trainees, as applicable • Maintain required documentation in approved systems and support program requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, technical training, or relevant experience in lieu of degree • Minimum of two years of related experience • Current LCSW or LMSW with license valid in the state of practice required • Master’s or doctoral degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or professional counseling with applicable licensure and/or certification • Social Work pathway requires a CSWE-accredited program and independent clinical licensure such as LCSW or equivalent • Marriage and Family Therapy pathway requires a COAMFTE-accredited program or equivalent qualifying graduate program and a clinical membership credential from AAMFT • Professional Counseling pathway requires an accredited graduate program, independent-level professional counseling licensure, and successful completion of the NCMHCE or equivalent Defense Health Agency-approved examination • Must meet credentialing and privileging standards under Defense Health Agency-Procedures Manual 6025.13 • Experience in brief behavioral interventions • Minimum of two years of peer-reviewable clinical work experience in a mental health setting • Active Secret clearance required at minimum • Preferred: experience in a government setting such as DoW or Department of Veterans Affairs Military Treatment Facility • Preferred: experience supporting military, Special Operations, behavioral health, or human performance environments • Preferred: experience collaborating with interdisciplinary clinical teams, commanders, and operational leadership
