📋 Description
• Accurately assigning diagnosis and procedure codes to inpatient discharges • Keeping abreast of all new coding developments by attending coding classes and seminars • Possessing inpatient coding knowledge to assign codes and determine diagnosis • Coding Obstetrics, Newborn, and Behavioral Health encounters as assigned • Querying physicians for unclear documentation • Working closely with Clinical Documentation Specialists for optimal DRG assignment • Maintaining department-specific productivity standards with a 95% accuracy rate • Other duties as assigned
