📋 Description

• Conduct telemedicine consultations to assess the patients' medical and psychosocial needs via video or telephone, while at all times maintaining a professional and appropriate setting in preparation for video consultations. • Assess patients by conducting psychiatric evaluations, including intake forms, interviews, medical histories, and observations to diagnose patients. • Prescribe and administer medications according to diagnosis. • Provide medical guidance to onsite nursing staff and physician-to-physician consultation in the ED on patient floors, and in Ambulatory Tele-Psychiatry Clinics. • Refer patients to specialists and relevant patient care components as appropriate. • Maintain working relationships with onsite medical providers engaged with inpatient care. • Document patient interaction, diagnosis, treatment, etc. within the hospitals EMR. • Will mainly focus on CSU but will sometimes conduct/receive consultations from the ED or any other partner hospital. Will support our Southern California partner hospitals.

🎯 Requirements

• Must have an ACTIVE license in California. • Must be either Board-Certified OR has taken its Board Certifying exam and is just waiting for the result. • Excellent bed side manner and communication skills • Experience navigating multiple EMR systems, strong technical skills, and experience with secure video conferencing. • Comfortable with technology and experienced with telehealth. • Enjoy working independently. • Must be available for both phone and video appointments. • Ability to work 8 (12-hour) or more shifts per month.
