📋 Description

• Perform credit and collections activities • Assist with billing, cash receipts, and other accounting tasks as needed • Monitor A/R aging and customer accounts to minimize past-due accounts • Perform customer credit analysis as needed • Initiate collection calls, emails, faxes, and letters • Work with Circulation and Advertising Managers on escalating collection actions • Distribute A/R aging reports and discuss issues with Circulation and Advertising Managers • Use and maintain the A/R collections module in Circulation and Advertising systems • Perform customer revenue and A/R trend analysis • Refine procedures and communicate with clients and colleagues using tact, diplomacy, and ethical behavior

🎯 Requirements

• Ability to analyze and resolve problems with some supervision • Accounting process and controls knowledge • Strong sense of urgency combined with attention to detail • Demonstrated ability to create Excel spreadsheets using formulas as needed • 10 key proficiency • Interpersonal skills and team collaboration skills • Strong customer service skills • Knowledge of automated collections/accounts receivable/accounting systems preferred • Proficiency with PC tools such as electronic mail software, word processor, presentation software, and spreadsheet software (Gmail, MSWord, PowerPoint, and Excel preferred) • GED or high school diploma • Associate's degree preferred • Must be willing to submit to and pass the required pre-employment background checks
