• Identify trending content across our network to maximize audience reach • Use knowledge of newsroom production to surface high-potential stories • Communicate with digital leads about hidden gems • Edit and refine syndicated posts for clarity and accuracy • Monitor and respond to real-time breaking news • Manage team and publication production workflows • Craft expert-level headlines and metadata for SEO and social media engagement • Collaborate with MNG and Tribune journalists on major initiatives • Source and manage third-party content vendors • Deep-dive into analytics for actionable newsroom feedback • Supervise three full-time Content Strategists

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in a high-pressure daily newsroom or online news outlet • Deep familiarity with various social media platforms and Content Management Systems (CMS) • Proficiency in Google Analytics and/or real-time analytics platforms • Strong background in news writing and copy editing, including AP style guidelines and ethics • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communication, marketing, or equivalent experience
