• Represent Medtronic as a device specialist during surgical procedures • Ensure required equipment and products are available • Provide technical support and device selection • Perform programming and testing of device systems • Manage patients through all phases of the clinical process and educate them on Medtronic products • Provide clinical support in surgeries, re-programmings, troubleshooting, and follow-ups in hospitals and clinics • Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel, and office staff on products and therapies • Coordinate teaching sessions, in-services, education programs, seminars, and symposia • Respond to device-related inquiries from customers and patients • Adhere to company policies and complete event reporting and documentation • Manage inventory for case coverage, including transactions, cycle counts, product retrievals, and expiration/hold controls • Contribute to quarterly district, regional, and national goals • Maintain knowledge of competitive products • Visit accounts and maintain relationships with office staff and healthcare providers • Place orders for pending purchase orders and product replacement • Collect purchase orders for covered cases • Assist management and Sales Training with new employee education • Use Excel, mobile phone, iPad, laptop, and/or Samsung tablet • Manage business expenses and budgets • Function as a clinical leader and key contact for complex case coverage and troubleshooting • Participate in territory business planning aligned with sales objectives • Act as a field trainer and mentor Associate Clinical Specialists and Clinical Specialists • Complete therapy and corporate compliance training • Travel to cover district cases as needed
• High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 8 years of clinical or medical sales experience; or Associate Degree with a minimum of 6 years of clinical or medical sales experience; or Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of clinical or medical sales experience • Must reside within the assigned territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region • Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy • Unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment • Ability to function using healthcare universal precautions to minimize exposure to infectious disease and radiation • Ability to serve as the primary resource for scheduled and unscheduled clinical events, including weekends, evenings, nights and overnight travel • Ability to work efficiently and autonomously with little direction outside of clinical events • Ability to attend national meetings, district meetings and other training as requested • Ability to wear a 7-9 lbs protective lead apron for extended periods in the operating room • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs • Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for 8+ hours per day • Ability to bend/stoop, squat, and balance frequently • Close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus • For baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
