📋 Description

• Reduce outstanding accounts receivable by managing and resolving assigned claims inventory • Communicate professionally with patients and insurance companies regarding balances, benefits, claims, and payment-related concerns • Gather, verify, and update patient demographic, insurance, referral, authorization, and eligibility information • Utilize revenue cycle systems and payer portals to review accounts, verify coverage, and resolve claim issues • Explain billing requirements, financial responsibilities, and payment options to patients and payors • Partner with Claims and Collections teams to support patient billing and payment activities • Resolve insurance processing errors, claim denials, and billing challenges for hospital and physician billing accounts • Review, follow up on, and resolve insurance claims to support timely reimbursement and reduced accounts receivable • Partner with patients, insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal revenue cycle teams to address billing issues and deliver customer service

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED • 2 years of payment posting experience in a healthcare billing environment • 2 years of denials management experience • 2 years of medical billing and insurance follow-up experience • Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payors • Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire • The company does not provide employment visa sponsorship for this position • A pre-employment background check will be conducted • Candidates residing in the state of New York cannot be considered • Preferred: Hospital Billing (HB) and Professional Billing (PB) experience • Preferred: Experience with Epic, Health Quest, Experian, Waystar, and/or NextGen
