📋 Description

• Review and finalize month-end and year-end close, completing select close tasks and making final adjustments • Own the general ledger and oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting • Own technical accounting judgments and document them for audit readiness • Manage consolidation and intercompany activity across multiple legal entities and states • Lead external financial audits and compliance reviews from preparation through completion • Prepare bank financial and covenant reporting, including covenant compliance calculations • Manage tax compliance and filings with outside tax advisors • Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls • Partner with the Director of Finance on forecast assumptions and explanations of historical variances • Prepare and analyze financial reports and provide the Executive Team with insights and recommendations • Build and develop the accounting team, including a newer Senior Accountant • Lead adoption and implementation of accounting technology and automation across Sage Intacct, Ramp, and ADP • Partner with stakeholders across the company to improve processes and lead change management • Work with auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions • Report to the Chief Financial Officer and partner with the Director of Finance • In the first year, bring month-end close to five business days, lead audits and compliance reviews end to end, establish scalable controls and documentation, and influence operational and business decisions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field • 7 to 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years as a manager or reviewer • Deep technical accounting expertise, including revenue recognition for contracts with variable or performance-based consideration (ASC 606) • Experience with capitalized internal-use software (ASC 350-40) • Experience with equity-based incentive units (ASC 718) • Experience with multi-entity consolidation (ASC 810) • Experience leading a lean team while staying hands-on • Advanced Excel skills • Proficiency with a mid-market accounting system • Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to present financial results to executive leadership • Hands-on Sage Intacct experience strongly preferred • Familiarity with Ramp or ADP is a plus • Experience in a growth-stage company with a lean finance team preferred • Experience in business services or tech-enabled services preferred • Healthcare experience, particularly Medicaid, preferred • Revenue cycle management experience is a plus • CPA preferred • Must be based in the US, Central or Eastern time zone
