📋 Description

• Oversee monthly closing, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting • Ensure accounts are accurate, properly reconciled, and supported • Manage inventory accounting, valuation, reporting, and reconciliations, including landed costs and cost of goods sold • Reconcile pending deposits, clearing accounts, payment processors, and marketplace settlements • Proactively identify accounting errors, unusual balances, and discrepancies • Develop and implement procedures to improve accuracy, efficiency, and accountability • Review accounting work, provide guidance, and ensure deadlines are met

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in e-commerce, retail, or an inventory-intensive business • Strong knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting, and financial statement preparation • Advanced understanding of balance sheet accounting, reconciliations, inventory valuation, and COGS • Experience independently managing month-end close • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel skills • Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities • Experience developing SOPs and improving accounting processes
