📋 Description
• Provides high quality medical nutrition therapy and weight management education to patients and clients • Assesses nutritional needs and develops individualized nutrition care plans • Collaborates with the multi-disciplinary treatment team • Documents nutrition care plans in the medical record • Provides nutrition education to patients and/or families • Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors and adheres to policies, procedures, and standards • Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for continuing education.
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Food & Nutrition or related area • Master's required if registration was obtained after Jan 1, 2024 • Must be registered with the ADA Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed with Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) • CPR Certification (Heart Saver only) from either American Red Cross or American Heart Association or obtained within six (6) months of hire • Completion of a qualified professional experience required for the registered dietitian exam administered by the ADA Commission on Dietetic Registration • Must have the ability to interact positively with many types of people • Effective oral and written communication skills.
