📋 Description

• Manage commercial/retail tenant improvement projects on site, ensuring timeliness and quality • Keep projects on schedule and subcontractors on task • Monitor quality control and address project delays, bad weather, and unforeseen conditions • Establish standards and protocols; schedule and coordinate subcontractors • Maintain safe, secure, and healthy job sites by enforcing standards, procedures, and legal regulations • Keep job sites clean and ensure proper signage is posted • Interface with clients professionally on job sites • Comply with and enforce applicable codes • Work with the Project Manager and General Site Superintendent to obtain client approval for field change orders • Communicate project status daily and escalate issues to the Project Manager/General Site Superintendent • Post daily job-site progress updates on the online project management website • Attend punch walk-throughs and complete project close-outs to client satisfaction • Attend job walks/site visits for potential new projects as needed • Manage up to five subcontractors and trade crews • Travel up to six weeks at a time • Unload, assemble, and install fixtures, millwork/casework, and shelving packages • Perform interior tenant-improvement trade work, including metal stud framing, drywall, T-bar, carpet, tile, wood flooring, painting, concrete, masonry, and rough/finish carpentry • Use basic hand and power tools • Read construction plans/blueprints • Perform general labor as assigned and take direction from a supervisor

🎯 Requirements

• At least 5 years multi-trade experience • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience • Excellent computer skills and experience with standard software packages, including e-mail • Experience with job scheduling • Ability to read and clearly understand blueprints and construction intent • Clean driving record • Willingness to travel extensively, including up to six weeks at a time or more • Retail construction industry experience is a plus, notably commercial tenant improvement build-outs and remodels • Strong client service orientation and client-facing capability • Solid knowledge of the construction development process • Strong work ethic, self-motivation, perseverance, and creativity • Excellent analytical skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Computer literacy and strong computer aptitude • Familiarity with all trade tools • Journeyman-level tradesman • Reliable transportation
