• Watch women’s soccer/football through live games or highlights • Write newsletters in various formats in collaboration with the team • Curate important moments and developments in women’s football for the newsletter • Fact-check newsletter copy and statistics for accuracy • Participate in editorial brainstorms and team meetings, pitching coverage ideas • Meet or exceed deadlines and advance the newsletter calendar, cadence, and format • Partner with social media and marketing teams on cross-promotion and larger content packages • Build and schedule newsletter sends in the publishing platform • Write match previews and recaps • Monitor major American and European leagues and social-media cultural conversations • Collaborate with the editor, newsletter director, and broader TWG team while adhering to brand standards
• 3+ years of professional writing experience • Encyclopedic interest in and knowledge of women’s football • An understanding of newsletters: what works, what doesn’t, how, and why • Love of pop culture and the ways in which it intersects with sports • Exceptional creative writing and editorial skills • Ability to write copy and create content adhering to TWG’s brand standards and tone of voice • Availability to work weekends as needed • Desire to engage with the TWG community and be the voice of the brand for our growing newsletter audience
