📋 Description

• Review and QA AI-agent rollouts in Financial Forecaster • Evaluate completed agent runs against the actual model and documents • Verify the correct scenario, account, coordinate, basis, conclusion, and deliverable • Identify agent failure modes and explain why agents succeed or fail • Flag tasks that are too easy or solvable without using Financial Forecaster • Refine task prompts and seeded worlds to reflect authentic FP&A and lender-reporting work • Increase task realism and difficulty for capable AI agents • Update grading guidance so correct answers pass and incorrect answers fail • Detect gating failures such as wrong scenario or vintage, wrong accounting basis, excluded add-backs, unwritten model corrections, or conclusions given away by source documents • Catch plausible but incorrect answers stated at the wrong grain or inconsistent with the reporting pack • Work on projects training and enhancing AI systems for Mercor and its research partners

🎯 Requirements

• Must use Financial Forecaster regularly, weekly or more, as part of current or recent professional work • 5+ years of professional experience in FP&A, financial reporting, technical accounting, lender reporting, treasury, or controllership • Experience as an FP&A analyst/manager, financial reporting analyst, technical accounting analyst, treasury/lender-reporting analyst, or controller • Able to navigate multidimensional models, dimensions, account hierarchies, and cube slices • Able to create, configure, inherit, lock, and identify governing scenarios • Able to distinguish input accounts from calculated accounts and edit formulas versus assumption cells appropriately • Experience loading actuals and driver data through CSV imports with correct units and scales • Knowledge of scenario notes, driver notes, policy notes, planning notes, assumption change logs, and variance commentary • Able to identify what Financial Forecaster cannot produce • Able to read scenarios and reporting packs and trace figures to accounts, scenarios, and coordinates • Able to identify overrides, forecast vintage, lock or acceptance dates, and governing scenarios • Able to decode Time, Entity, Department, Product/Product Line, Region, Debtor, and Aging Bucket dimensions • Able to locate and tie out figures driving covenants, KPIs, or disclosures • Able to detect unit, scale, period, LTM, and fiscal-year-to-date mismatches • Able to reconcile conflicting in-world sources and determine which governs • Knowledge of legal entity, department, segment, and consolidated reporting structures • Knowledge of credit agreement mechanics, covenant calculations, borrowing bases, eligible accounts, redetermination, and compliance certificates • Knowledge of GAAP, non-GAAP, covenant measures, non-GAAP reconciliation, AICPA PFI guidance, ASC 205-40, ASC 280, SAB 99 / Topic 1M, Release 33-10751, and Reg S-K Item 303 • Able to distinguish a complete deliverable from a statement merely describing it • Familiarity with Financial Forecaster scenario creation, locking, saved views, and exports • Sound judgment regarding correct and complete answers, with confidence to reject plausible but incorrect answers • CPA, CFA, or MBA welcome but not required • Must be legally eligible to work without H1-B or STEM OPT support
