📋 Description

• Work on research-level physics problems in the applicant's own subfield • Depending on publication record, create problems, solve them, review completed work, or audit work • Produce complete written reasoning that another specialist can independently follow and verify • Apply methods in special functions, integrable systems, permutation combinatorics, or conformal geometry • Provide publication evidence, author position, and demonstrated methods for selected research areas • Complete an application form covering basic information, education, research experience, and method self-attestation • Participate in a short live alignment call if needed to agree on the area and assignment • Complete a brief 30–45 minute assessment only if required • Collaborate on projects that train and enhance AI systems

🎯 Requirements

• PhD in mathematical physics, theoretical physics, or mathematics (hard requirement) • Postdoctoral researchers, research scientists, and junior faculty are strongest fits • Senior PhD students with a strong first-author record are welcome • Published work on at least one of the specified phenomena, not merely an adjacent area • Verifiable publication record with three to five representative papers, including arXiv IDs or DOIs; first author strongly preferred • Command of at least one specified method family: special function analysis, integrability, combinatorics, or geometric methods • Working proficiency with LaTeX, Python, SymPy, and Jupyter • Some familiarity with an agentic coding extension in VS Code is useful • English proficiency at B2 or above, including written reasoning • Commitment of 10 hours per week across an 8 to 10 week window, starting immediately • Must be able to work as an independent contractor • H-1B and STEM OPT candidates are not supported
