📋 Description

• Build and review PnL and mark-to-market reconciliations • Handle trader-versus-accounting reconciliations, month-end marks, commissions, and adjustments • Build and review vendor / AP payment reconciliations under cash constraints with PO, P-card, and aging controls • Build integrated 3-statement and pro-forma models, including purchase-accounting impacts such as ASC 805 deferred-revenue haircut, PPA amortization, and synergy phasing • Perform covenant and credit analysis • Work on partnership / professional-services allocations, including profit-pool waterfalls and capital accounts • Reason from primary sources such as term sheets, purchase/partnership agreements, trial balances, memos, and emails • Distinguish material information from deliberate distractors • Produce deliverables or evaluate AI-generated attempts against professional standards • Write CFO/partner-ready narratives explaining assumptions, variances, and recommendations • Collaborate with leading researchers on AI training and evaluation projects

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years in a hands-on non-investment finance role • Experience in product control / financial control, corporate FP&A, technical accounting, treasury / financial operations / AP–P2P, commercial-banking credit, or professional-services / partnership finance • CPA / CA / ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent strongly preferred • Strong US GAAP / IFRS knowledge; ASC 805 and ASC 606 knowledge is a bonus • Advanced Excel modeling, including linked 3-statement models, reconciliations, and pro formas • Comfort exercising professional judgment on incomplete or ambiguous information • CFA / investing / portfolio-management background is not required • Must be able to work as an independent contractor • H1-B or STEM OPT candidates cannot be supported
