📋 Description

• Implement and operate Mercury’s first prudential regulatory compliance program for banking, initially focusing on Regulations W and O, including policies, procedures, governance framework, transactional controls, and ongoing monitoring activities • Interface directly with and advise Mercury’s senior management on the permissibility and advisability of proposed transactions • Partner with stakeholders across Legal, Finance, People/HR, Credit, and other organizational functions • Shape business-critical transactions to come together in a safe and sound manner • Educate and grow Mercury’s compliance culture and awareness of prudential regulatory obligations through training and guidance to bank staff • Maintain records and documentation on prudential regulatory compliance activities and programs

🎯 Requirements

• 5–7+ years of experience building and/or operating prudential compliance programs, including Regulations W and O • Strong understanding of prudential regulations and regulatory expectations • Experience representing program outputs and decisions to senior executives, internal auditors, prudential regulators, and other stakeholders • High quality bar and strong sense of ownership • Collaborative, problem-solving mindset • Strong stakeholder management skills • Ability to influence without direct authority • Excitement about using technology, including artificial intelligence, to enhance capabilities and advance the profession • Prior experience in quantitative fields including finance, credit, and/or strategic operations is nice-to-have
